Day 5: Mobile to Home
Jan. 1st, 2011 02:11 pmI woke up early and had a pretty uneventful day getting back to New Orleans, frankly. I only took a couple of pictures, which I'm still mucking through (more than 1100 photos, gah). I saw the most burned-out car I'd ever seen. I thought I had photos of it, but now I can't find them. :(
Anyhow, guy ahead of me at the airport line opted out so they picked me, and I opted out. The TSA agents were professional, explained well. She put on fresh gloves without my asking, which she said was policy when I commented on it. I was two feet away from my belongings, which was also stated as policy. She asked if there were places that it would hurt to touch, and I said that I sometimes had that issue, but not that day.
Recognizing that I'm not everyone, I didn't find the experience at all traumatic, and I'd opt out again.
Anyhow, got home, and nothing much to report other than the party we'd intended to go to was over by the time we got there, and I was in bed at midnight because I was tired.
