Last Night I Saw Something I'd Never Seen Before

When I was in band in high school (alto sax), one of the trumpet players was female. Because of that, I've tended to notice trumpet players, and they tend not to be women (understatement). Rick turned on the TV last night and it happened to be tuned to Letterman introducing Alison Balsom, a British classical trumpet player. Never had seen a woman performing solo classical trumpet in a professional capacity before. I rewound the piece (yay TiVo) so Rick could watch.
