Exhilarating.
My favorite book (WWW: Wake) didn't win, but I didn't expect it to. Of course that'd be my favorite, though, given my work.
Paolo and China got the tie for novel, which was very cool.
My favorite movie won! Moon. I let out quite the yelp for that.
To give you an idea, it was made for 5 million dollars by David Bowie's son, funded by money raised from/by Sting's wife, using cat litter as the moon's soil, where Sam Rockwell had no one else to play off of because Kevin Spacey's voiceover role was recorded after the fact. It was just Sam, all Sam. Amazing, really, especially given the budget.
My favorite short story of the nominees, "Bridesicle," won.
Former BayCon chair
seanan_mcguire won the Campbell Award. Go, Seanan!
Not everything (or everyone) I liked best was nominated; I'm particularly sad that some of my Campbell-eligible friends, Jay Lake's Green, as well as FlashForward episode A561984 weren't nominated, but I'm very happy with the winners from the pool of available nominees.
