Stash Reduction & Necklace Sale Part Deux
Oct. 2nd, 2009 03:48 pmMy mother and I are giving up our storage unit this week, and that means the yarn and spinning fiber needs to be re-homed or reduced sufficiently that it can be stored in the house along with the stuff that's currently in storage.
We'll be having stash reduction again on Sunday, October 4, from 1-4 p.m.
This time, for spinning fiber, I will offer a custom box: $40 for a full tote of spinning fiber made from any of the existing totes of top (5, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 19). Obviously, early bird gets the worm here.
Also, 10% off of 2 totes, 15% off of 3, or 20% off of 5. A girl can hope.
Each tote probably contains somewhere around 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 pounds of fiber. The yarn totes are heavier.
I overbought on yarn (and fiber) and haven’t been knitting very much the last couple of years. I can’t find my abandoned projects, and even when I can, I run out of yarn, know I have more of that one yarn, and I get frustrated.
I have, no joke, about 2,800 skeins of yarn, and it’s time to go on a serious yarn diet.
Plus, I’d like to meet other local knitters, spinners, and my mom’s into beading, so if any of you are beaders, she’d probably love to talk and/or swap beads.
My stash reduction pictures are here (some are yarn, some are spinning fiber):
