Writing Progress: Red, Red, Wine
Mar. 9th, 2009 03:01 amThis is an important one, because I started my novel February 8, and this is about the progress through March 8.
In one month, I wrote 26,061 words on a new novel, working title Delilah. Yep, 1/4 of a novel in a month, and that's without trying very hard.
I got the idea on January 29, started hammering on some notes on February 1, and began writing it on February 8.
On 1/29, I wrote to a friend, "It'll take me a while, the evolution of stories isn't quick for me."
Yeah, right.
It's lumpy -- all my first drafts are -- but it's at least flowing out.
(Today's reggae song is by UB40, of course.)
