Journey to the Deep Sea Vents
Jul. 20th, 2008 11:49 pmI don't know how many of you follow
hookahjoe, who has one of the more interesting jobs in the world for those of us who love travel and oceans: he works on a marine research vessel.
This is the deep sea vent photo entry.
I should warn that his blog is frequently not worksafe from language and occasional nudity, so keep that in mind if you want to see more. He can be an amazing photographer, especially of the everyday in foreign countries.
Here's one he calls the money shot:

Cold day in heavy seas

Lady in Varanasi, India

Baby sea turtles in Sri Lanka

Lantern festival in Chiang Mai

Salento, Columbia

Aurora Australis (Southern Lights)

All that, and more, from just the last seventeen months of archives.
