Day 3: Huntsville to Mobile
Dec. 30th, 2010 12:17 amWoke up, got breakfast, went to Marshall NASA (aka Space Camp). Really excellent displays that I used up my batteries photographing. Saw the Hubble movie, which was awesome, especially given my connection to it. Nice to see a female astronaut, too.
Also saw a second film about a project I'd missed somehow. The movie is called 3D Sun and is about the pair of unmanned spacecraft doing 3D imaging of the sun. The film includes several female scientists, the most prominent being Madjulika Guhathakurta. Worth seeing.
Remind me to talk more about the time there when I have a working brain.
Then the long drive to Mobile (rhymes with eel). I just got in, and I'm exhausted. At least I'm spending two nights here for a change.
Also? Outback SteKhouse gluten-free menu FTW!
