My favorite writer on security theatre is Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic. The Things He Carried is simultaneously hilarious and sad. Then there's the post where he names his "crotchal area" "Resistance," titled "For the First Time, the TSA Meets Resistance."

Update: Link to an article about how Israel manages airport security. Interesting read.
