Holding Onto Part of a Hand
Jan. 15th, 2010 12:39 amOne thing I see a lot in newer writers' works is the tendency to spill all of the beans about something rather than holding onto part of the hand.
I was thinking about this when I was re-watching FlashForward episodes on the plane today.
Mark Benford asks his daughter, who's obviously been traumatized by what she saw, what she saw in her flashforward. He's an FBI agent whose been investigating leads, one of which is a mystery person named D. Gibbons.
Charlie, being a kid, says cryptically, "D. Gibbons is a bad man."
We still don't know what she saw, but it's obvious she also saw something positive because her friendship with Dylan seems to be part of that.
I'm just curious what will come out of an experience that's both so positive and so negative and what Charlie actually saw in her flashforward.
