Getting a New Doc
Jun. 16th, 2007 04:46 amSo, my primary care physician doesn't really ever know who I am. I discovered today that he forgets that I'm celiac and have fibromyalgia for one main reason: it was NEVER noted on my medical records, even though I have been taking meds for years.
No wonder it always seems I have to fight a battle.
Grr.
There's only 8 physicians I can change to, so I'm not certain I will change. At least the urgent care doc I saw tonight added them.
Oh, and what was the one thing that was on there as a medical condition? Obesity. It's like anyone who sees me can figure that out in five seconds if they're not blind (maybe ten if they are), but the things that can limit life and health that aren't obvious weren't on there.
Edited to add: there's also no mention of my sleep apnea (I have 11,000+ hours on my CPAP) and my athsma. No wonder I need doctor approval every single time I need albuterol. Grrr.
