Bobby Farrell of Boney M
Feb. 4th, 2011 05:54 pmI've posted this video before in a different context.
I'd forgotten to post about the death of Bobby Farrell at the end of last year. Boney M was my favorite disco group with a heavily Caribbean influence (the members were from separate Caribbean islands originally). He didn't actually sing on most of the hit recordings, but he did perform the songs live.
Given that he died in St. Petersburg after having given a concert earlier that evening, it seems fitting to post this particular video, possibly the best known Boney M song he sang lead on. I'd really love for the original 6:39 version to be released; all the re-prints on CD were either different recordings or shortened somehow.
