I first heard about the iPhone Antenna Song last week, but tonight I saw a
link to an interview with the songwriter, Jonathan Mann.
Short form: he writes a song a day as a practice. As a result, he wrote a topical song within a day of hearing about the forthcoming press conference and the song opened Steve Jobs's press conference last week.
I remember Jay Lake saying that it's important to finish the stories that you start because then you have as much practice writing endings as you have writing beginnings. Mann's shown exactly how valuable that can be in a pinch.
