The Tale of a Tooth

deirdreOnce upon a time, I had an impacted wisdom tooth on the right side of my mouth, and it hurt so much I actually went to the dentist. I insisted upon seeing the x-rays, at which point I knew there was no hope for that tooth.
And so it was removed, as was its kin on the left side.
There were cavities from the impacted part (that's how bad it was). The right side one wasn't salvageable, but the left one was. With a root canal. And a crown.
As it turns out, the lab the dentist used wasn't as exceptional as that of the dentist my mother later found.
I'd had another crown re-done (due to a bad batch of adhesive, but also a poor fit) by her, and it's worked out well.
Tomorrow, I go to get the older crown re-done.
I'm looking forward to this about like I'd look forward to a root canal.
I've resolved myself to having nothing at all interesting to eat for a couple of days, but if I feel up to it, I might re-watch early Alias episodes tomorrow. If I feel really well, I may actually get some work done.
